作品說明：
《途境─市民大道II》延續藝術家創作系列《途境》的脈絡。該系列最初源於2019年藝術家對陌生城市環境的探索與理解。

透過細緻的手工描繪，藝術家試圖重新喚回那些被速度掠過而忽略的空間，重構人們日常生活中未曾細看的場景。圖像被雷射切割於不規則的不鏽鋼板上，並鑲嵌於建築牆面。破裂的表面喚起記憶的斷裂，觀者被邀請在心中重新拼組熟悉的城市路徑。

一道橫向的光帶貫穿整體作品，象徵臺北市主要的東西向軸線─市民大道，也象徵都市的流動、交通與現代性。相對之下，靜止的圖像捕捉日常的親密片刻，提醒人們重新注視城市中人與人之間的近距離交流與場景。

Margot GUILLEMOT’s An Attempt at Exhausting Civic Boulevard II (Taipei, Taiwan) captures the scenes that are often swiftly overlooked in daily life and reconstructs the familiar urban pathway.
 

藝術家介紹：

莫珊嵐，1993出生於愛爾蘭科克，現生活與工作於台灣。就讀國立台灣藝術大學當代視覺文化博士班；2017年教育部臺灣獎學金獲選人 、2016年畢業於法國蒙彼利埃地中海高等美術學院創作碩士。莫珊嵐的作品經常質疑數位圖像領域裡的「在場」和「再現」的概念，討論在當代生活裡對「看」跟「去」的定義。從感知與認知、現實與虛擬、空間與時間中相互矛盾關係，建構在質疑「現實」的種種假設與 問題。「現實」是否即是「真實」? 她主要的對象是城市的景觀， 通過多角度的觀察她表現出現在她眼前都市生活。通過她設計的方法和規則，她試圖盤點地方，挑戰熟悉與陌生。

Margot Guillemot was born in Cork (Ireland) and lives and works in Taoyuan, Taiwan. She graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Montpellier, France.
Margot’s works often question the concepts of presence and representation in the field of digital images and discuss the definitions of seeing and going in contemporary life. Driven by the changes in scale and rhythm in her environment that occurred after moving across the globe, she use her work as a way to make sense of space. By creating rules and constraints, and through collection and inventories she plays with the tension created by the familiar and strange. Those elements join in her work to create montages attempting a totalizing portrait of a place.
