Campus counseling spaces are more than just venues for psychological support; they serve as critical interfaces for reshaping internal states and navigating interpersonal boundaries. As the demand for mental health care grows increasingly diverse, these environments are shedding the rigid, closed nature of traditional administrative institutions. It is evolving into inclusive, supportive sanctuaries that adapt to varying levels of psychological defense.

"Design Movement for Student Wellbeing—Campus Counseling Space Transformation Project" is a co-creative dialogue that brings together universities, design teams, professional committees, and the Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI). Through streamlining circulation, delineating public and private domains, and translating design intent into material choices, the project responds with precision to what faculty and students need most: privacy and a sense of safety. The exhibition, themed "A Glimmer in the Everyday," explores how design acts as a gentle spatial intervention, embedding nodes of calm and orientation into existing campus frameworks and the daily lives of its community.

Moving beyond traditional architectural drawings and models, this exhibition distills twelve campus transformation cases into a physical array organized around four distinct spatial strategies. Scattered across the space, small luminous installations and layers of fabric panels catch and reflect one another, giving rise to a landscape quietly suffused with light. Visitors are invited to step inside and experience the tension between openness and enclosure, the tactile transition of materials, and the way objects gently reshape how people move through it.

This is not simply a record of architectural renovation; it is an invitation to feel how space can tenderly receive every state of mind one carries into it. Through considered spatial organization and aesthetic practice, counseling spaces become a steady support system on campus. Casting a gentle light that filters quietly into the everyday and giving everyone who steps inside a room to find what fits them, and a place to simply be.
