Introduction|
The motto of the Monday School is “To create a place where everyone can dance, freely.” This performing arts school initiated by the Les Petites Choses Production takes place under an overpass, and you don’t have to sign-up or pay tuition; it is a public art action collectively supported by its participants and fundraisers.
In order to bring together the arts community and society, Les Petites Choses Production has transported their dance co-education project to the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, with the objective of broadening the general public’s imagination about dance, blurring the line between art and life, and establishing a support system for the arts collective and society to thrive together. The hope is to inspire more people to assertively take part in this project where beauty is produced and appreciated and to create communal memories which art and society can mutually benefit from. The intention is to pave a new path for creative art-making through the bottom-up force generated and the partnership formed between the public institution and people.
